1 – What is “It’s Just Routine“Home Warranty + Plus Household Maintenance?
IJRs Home Warranty + program offers both a routine Home Maintenance Program along with a full Home Warranty component. No other Home Warranty Program provides the required periodic household maintenance, on critical mechanical home systems, like IJR does.
Here’s how it works.
Four times per year, our highly trained employees will make a scheduled visit and maintain the various mechanical systems and appliances throughout your home. This routine maintenance service will extend the life of these systems and allow them to perform like they should. As a result, your major home systems become more reliable and you will have peace of mind in knowing that a warranty claim cannot be denied due to a lack of maintenance. Think about it. How can we deny a claim for lack of maintenance when we are DOING the maintenance?!
2 – Why should I sign up?
Your Home is one of the largest investments you will every make, so it’s important to keep it protected and functioning properly throughout its life! Repairs on and replacements of major home systems such as your furnace, air conditioning and appliances can end up costing you Thousands over the years! What’s the answer? A properly maintained home! That’s the answer!
Our It’s Just Routine Home Warranty + Program is a Home Warranty Program coupled with a Household Maintenance component that helps you safeguard against the cost of covered repairs or replacements for the major components of your homes systems and appliances that fail due to normal wear and tear. There’s no other program like It’s Just Routine, Home Warranty Plus!
3 – What happens during the Routine Maintenance Visit and how long does it take?
Our Routine Maintenance visits last between one and two hours depending on the maintenance that is scheduled to be performed. Here’s a snapshot of some of the things we do during our four planned Routine Maintenance visits per year:
- Planned HVAC Check and Filter Change
- Appliance Maintenance
- Water Heater Maintenance
- Garage Door Maintenance
- Safety Inspections
- Dryer Vent Cleaning
- Maintain Emergency Shutoffs
- Maintain Toilets
- Maintain Faucets
- Check for Leaks
- Sump Pump Testing
- Annual Exterior Inspection and Report
Our standard contract is one calendar year. Your coverage starts 30 days after the successful onboarding of your home.
6 – Can I cancel my contract?
You can cancel your contract at any time during the contract period. However, any claims paid and or expenses incurred on your behalf by IJR during the contract period must be reimbursed to us. To receive the full benefit of our plan, you must be in the plan for the required 12 months. This prevents unscrupulous individuals from trying to take advantage of our program and ruining it for everyone else.
7 – What if I want to add a service?
You can add a service or increase your coverage for up to 30 days after you purchase our Program. Please see our sample contract for details.
8 – How do I know that work was completed?
During the Routine Maintenance visits, our team of Maintenance Specialists will document any work that has been completed on your home.
They will also take photos of any issues that they find during their visit related to your plan.
This information will be available to you, along with any recommendations for repairs, when you access your customer account portal.
Through your customer portal, you will have access to all documentation of work we have completed and any issues we found along the way.
9 – When will the payment be withdrawn from my account
If you pay in full, the payment will be processed at the time of application. If you decide to take advantage of our 6 months free financing with $500.00 down, your monthly payments will be processed each month on the anniversary of your signing up. Example: If you sign up on 10/20/18, your next payment will be 11/20/18.
10 – How do I change the date of service
The service date will be established between you and your Home Manager during the first visit. If for some reason you need to change your service date, your Home Manager will be your point of contact and will be happy to assist you with a new date.
11 – What do I do with my pets
We love pets. However, during our visits, we ask that you contain your pets for their safety and the safety of our employees. Pet daycare works well too!
12 – Why 4 times a year
Many of the maintenance items that we do, like changing furnace filters for example, are recommended by the manufacturers to be performed 4 times a year. Also, by limiting our visits to four (4) times a year, we were able to reduce the price of our service and make it more affordable for our subscribers.
13 – What will you do with my information
All the information that we gather about your home will be available and stored in your personal Customer Portal. We keep all customer personal information in strictest confidence and never sell or share it. 14 – Why do I have a Home Manager?
Your “Home Manager” is your personal point of contact in all issues related to your home. The Home Manager and their Team will schedule all of your planned maintenance visits, answer any questions you may have about your plan, help you with any claims you may have and more! They will keep your Portal updated and provide you with vital information about the condition of your home and other information about your plan. Other Companies use “Call Centers” that are located all over the world. You can never seem to get ahold of the same person twice! Very Frustrating.
15 – What’s your relationship with Mister Fix-it LLC?
Mister Fix It LLC is our sister Company! They have an outstanding reputation in the St Louis, Mo Metro area, “A” rated with the BBB, and perform all aspects of Home Maintenance and Repairs such as Electrical, Carpentry, Plumbing and Painting and Drywall. They also do some very nice Kitchen and Bath Remodeling! As an IJR,
Home Warranty Plus Members are entitled to a 10% discount with Mister Fix-it!
16 – What are my “Maintenance Minutes”?
Maintenance Minutes are a little bonus that we provide to our members. It seems that there is always something that needs to be repaired or replaced around the house, but it’s just too small of a project to schedule with a contractor. That’s where Maintenance Minutes comes in! As a Member, you will receive 15 Maintenance Minutes at each of our visits 4 times a year! You can use them for things like replacing that pesky battery in your smoke alarms or changing that hard to reach light bulb on a vaulted ceiling!
You can also save your Maintenance Minutes, and at the end of the year, you’ll have an Hour available to you! Pretty Cool Huh?
17 – Does your plan have a Deductible?
Our plan has a $75.00 deductible per claim. Most of our competition has a deductible of $100.00 or more!
There are some instances where you can combine 2 claims under one deductible. Please see you Home Manager or our sample contract for more details.
18 – How is a home warranty different from Homeowner’s Insurance?
Homeowners insurance typically protects your home from things that might happen, like fires, theft or natural disasters.
A home warranty helps protect your budget when covered components of home systems and appliances breakdown due to normal wear and tear.
19 – What’s the difference between a home warranty and a manufacturer’s warranty?
A manufacturer’s warranty typically covers the failed part of a single appliance or system, but it doesn’t always cover the cost of the labor for the repair.
With a home warranty, one plan covers multiple home systems and/or appliances. This can be a more cost-effective way to protect components of systems and appliances in your home.
20 – Will I need a Heating and Air Conditioning Maintenance contract with this program?
Our program includes a twice per year, clean and check of your HVAC system! You will no longer need your existing HVAC Maintenance contract! This saves you even more money!
